Sometimes conversations take an unexpected turn — one that reminds you why connection matters so deeply.

Recently, I was exploring the opportunity to partner with a new organization. In our discussion, the leader shared about a nonprofit she’s involved with called Community Clothes Closet, which provides not only clothing and shoes, but also winter gear and other essential items to those in need.

As she described their work, something inside me stirred. I thought of my mom — the youngest of seven — who never had new clothes or shoes growing up. She used to tell me about placing cardboard in her worn-out shoes and dreading the rain or snow that would soak through to her feet. Those stories have always stayed with me.

Hearing about Community Clothes Closet, I felt an immediate connection — not just to the mission, but to the why behind it. The thought of sparing even one child from that experience… it hit home.

It was a moment of serendipity — a reminder that when we take the time to connect, to really listen, we often find the places where purpose and opportunity intersect.

💙 Connection isn’t random. It’s a quiet affirmation that we’re exactly where we’re meant to be.
